Search Strain collections
The web-based strain finder was originally written by McKell
Carter, an undergrad in the Roth lab. He is no longer working on it (I think),
and so I adapted it for a wider distribution.
The following sites are currently using this strainfinder to search their collections.
These strain collections have been put online to promote interactions within, and as a courtesy to, the Salmonella community.
Please contact the owners of these sites for more information about their strains, and how to get hold of them.
Ken Sanderson, at U. Calgary, runs the Salmonella genetic stock
center. This is the best source for Salmonella strains and
information. Ken Sanderson also maintains the genetic map of
Salmonella Typhimurium that I have mirrored here
Contact Rob Edwards if you would like more
information about the web search engines, and how to implement them for your
strain collections.
